The Client
Christie & Co was engaged by JM McGill Limited and D & R Sharp (Chemists) Limited to sell their portfolios comprising a total of 14 pharmacies. JM McGill operated 11 pharmacies and D & R Sharp (Chemists) Limited operated three established pharmacy businesses across the greater Doncaster area.
The Request
The established pharmacy groups were seeking a new owner that would share similar values, focusing heavily on maintaining strong relationships with patients and continuing to enhance the trading profile of all of the pharmacies included in the wider group.
The Solution
Utilising our national and regional knowledge of the pharmacy market, we were able to generate interest from several parties.
The Results
Deals were successfully agreed to Mr Pickfords, a Leicester-based group, via a management buyout supported by Connection Capital LLP. The sale underpins growing desire from private equity firms to invest in the pharmacy sector.
