The current owners, Paul and Peter Turpin-Ottley have been restaurateurs locally for 25 years and have previously run other successful restaurants, including Au Pont de Fer and Oliver’s Vegetarian Bistro in Ironbidge.

They have fully restored the internal areas of the inn over the last decade, including the heavily panelled doors, several unique Georgian fireplaces, a stone-flagged floor in reception and an 18th century turned oak staircase providing access to all three floors of the building.

With the original building dating from 1767, the 10-bedroom inn is Grade II Listed and has a VisitBritain 5* rating.

Joshua Sullivan, Business Agent at Christie & Co comments, “Close to several landmarks including the Ironbridge Gorge Museums and Heritage Trail of The Severn Gorge, as well as the Telford International Exhibition Centre, the inn is popular with corporate visitors, tourists as well as residents of the surrounding area.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or a lifestyle operator to acquire a truly rare Shropshire gem.”

Christie & Co is seeking offers in the region of £950,000 for the freehold interest of The Old Orleton Inn.
