2nd Scottish Nursery Awards is a resounding success

Representatives from Christie + Co and Christie Finance attended the Scottish Nursery Awards last night, held at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow.

Attended by over 500 people, the glittering ceremony celebrated the achievements of individuals and childcare businesses from all over Scotland.

Representing Christie + Co was Martin Daw, Courtney Donaldson and Craig Lygate, Adrian Foster and Judy Lockhart represented Christie Finance.

Christie + Co’s Scottish childcare transactional team is led by Martin Daw, who is recognised as one of Scotland’s most prolific and experienced day business brokers and has won Christie + Co’s ‘Negotiator of the year award’ successive times year-on-year. Christie + Co proudly sponsored the Nursery Personality Award 2015, presented by Martin Daw, which was won by Dawn Cheung from Star Bright Nursery. 

Commenting on the event, Martin says: “It was a pleasure to support operators from across Scotland who deliver outstanding childcare services - many of whom are our clients who we have been delighted to support with their business expansion and rationalisation plans aided by our specialist childcare teams in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.” 

He adds: “2015 so far has shown marked improvements in both the volume and value of childcare deals, as evidenced by recent high calibre sales such as the sale of the Corner House nursery group in Edinburgh.”
