Andrew and Sheena Williamson, together with their son Mark have owned the property for over nine years. The couple appointed Christie + Co to sell the business in order to retire.

The property has been acquired by Calum and Kathy Maxwell from Oxfordshire, who are looking forward to building on the business’ success.

They comment: “Firstly we would thank Ken and his colleagues at Christie + Co for all their diligent work during the purchase process. We are looking forward to picking up the reins from Andrew and Sheena and wish them well in their retirement.”

Ken Sims, Director at Christie + Co’s Edinburgh office who handled the sale added: “There was substantial interest in the business from buyers from the UK as well as overseas. The sale demonstrates that where businesses are competitively priced, such as Ravenscourt Hotel, they will attract interest. “In the past ten days we have completed on the sales of three hospitality businesses, with more deals in the pipeline due to complete shortly.”
