A 200 year old inn near Aberdeen is looking for a new owner

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has been instructed to market The Lairhillock Inn in Netherley near Aberdeen.

The family-run historic coaching inn is around 200 years old and retains some original features such as open fires and low beamed ceilings. It currently has seating for over 100 guests in its bar area, bar/restaurant and conservatory and is known for its ales and food.

There are also two function rooms, the larger one of which is an impressively converted cow shed, which provide large spaces to cater for private parties and events.

Stuart Drysdale, Associate Director at Christie & Co who is handling the sale comments, “This established business is ripe for further development and therefore ideal for an experienced operator to breathe new life into it. There are also two flats included in the sale which could be used for owner’s accommodation and with the growth in residential developments both in Stonehaven and Portlethen, the potential to develop its current offering for both new and existing customers is very promising.”

The freehold of the inn is available for £850,000.
