Award-winning Ipswich waterfront pharmacy sold for the first time
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Aqua Pharmacy in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Established by exiting owners Mr Andrew and Mrs Michelle Claridge in 2012, Aqua Pharmacy is a standard hours community pharmacy with a modern fit-out and multiple consultation rooms. It dispenses NHS, private and veterinary prescription medicines, totalling an average of 3,173 items per month. The business is located on a busy street just outside Ipswich town centre, close a picturesque marina complex and University campus.
Over the years, Aqua Pharmacy has won a number of local health promotion awards, its owners were recipients of the Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk’s award in 2021 for their contribution to the delivery of vaccination services during the pandemic, and Michelle was highly commended for two successive years in the Independent Pharmacist awards for Independent Pharmacist of the Year. The business was also mentioned in the House of Commons as an example of the service delivered by community pharmacy to the public during the pandemic.
Andrew and Michelle recently decided to sell to pursue a well-earned retirement and, following a confidential sales process with Christie & Co, the business has been sold to a local multiple operator.

Aqua Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
