Arnos Manor Hotel is on the market with Christie + Co
Businesses for sale
Acting on behalf of St James Hotel Group, specialist property adviser Christie + Co has been appointed to handle the sale of the 73-bedroom Arnos Manor Hotel, Bristol.
£3.5 million is being sought for the freehold interest in the 18th century property, which was built in 1760 as the private home of the wealthy merchant, William Reeve.
Occupying a prominent position on the main A4 Bath Road, Arnos Manor has excellent road, rail and air links while its proximity to Avonmeads Retail Park, Paintworks Business Park, Bristol Arena and the city-centre makes it an ideal base for business and leisure guests.
Aside from the 73 en-suite bedrooms, the hotel also offers a glass-roofed courtyard restaurant, relaxing lounge, chapel and a choice of four conference suites. The property still boasts many of its original Georgian gothic features, including the decorated Chapel lounge, high ceilings, and intricate cornicing and panelling on many of the walls.
Jonathan Hill, Director at Christie + Co’s Bristol office is handling the sale. He says: “Arnos Manor Hotel would make an excellent investment for an experienced operator looking to invest in the South West region. The site could also offer further development opportunities subject to planning.”
“As one of the most populated cities in the South of England and one of the strongest economies outside of London, Bristol is a hugely vibrant town attractive to both business and leisure visitors, and is just a short drive from the Georgian city of Bath - a World Heritage site.”
