Award winning Taunton restaurant finds new owner
The Willow Tree, an award winning restaurant in the centre of Taunton, Somerset has been sold through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.
The charming Grade II listed, three storey building, believed to have been a mill, dates back to the late 17th century. The Willow Tree was established by previous owners, Darren Sherlock and Rita Rambellas in 2002 and is one of the most highly rated restaurants in Taunton, with awards and accolades including two AA Rosettes, a ‘Remy’ award, and was named as one of the ‘Top Ten Romantic Places to Eat in the UK’ by Good Food.
The new owners have temporarily closed The Willow Tree for refurbishment and will re-open with an updated menu of seasonal modern British classics in the autumn.
