Bockings Elm Post Office and convenience store sold after 30 years
Specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co has announced the sale of Bockings Elm Post Office, in the coastal town of Clacton-on-the-Sea, Essex. The previous owners, who prefer to remain private, are now looking to retire, having successfully run the business for 30 years.
The store and post office is conveniently located just off St. Johns Road within a parade of shops, with plenty of free parking available. The business has a loyal customer base and delivers papers to approximately 150 customers around the town.
The store services the local community with a range of convenience goods, chilled and frozen products, medical products, tobacco and features a full off license. The business is also a National Lottery Agent and has a Post Office Pay Station.
Lewis Last, Retail Business Agent at Christie & Co, who handled the sale comments, “I am really pleased for our vendors here after becoming an integral part of the local community and trading the store successfully for so many years and wish them all the best in retirement.
There are exciting times ahead for the store too with an experienced retailer coming in. I can’t wait to check in and see how they have built on this established business.”
Bockings Elm Post Office was sold for an undisclosed price.
