Butcombe acquires second Somerset pub through Christie & Co
The Rodney Stoke Inn has been sold through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co in an off market and confidential deal to The Liberation Group for regional brewer Butcombe Brewing.
Nestled on two acres of land on the edge of the Rodney Stoke National Nature Reserve between the historic city of Wells and popular tourist town Cheddar, the pub is easily accessible from main routes and attracts a number of customers from neighbouring towns.
The attractive three storey period building includes a main lounge bar with three sections with an eclectic mix of tables and sofas, as well as a dining area and restaurant which leads to a formal trade garden and split level terrace. The property includes a function room with a bar and dance floor ideal for events with an optional marquee available for larger parties. The grounds surrounding the main building include a caravan and camping site with 25 pitches, boasting electric hook-up.
Former owners Neil and Annette Sinclair operated the Rodney Stoke for over 20 years and have been in the trade for over 30 years, they have now decided to retire and often escpae to the big game parks of Africa during the winter months, the pair are looking forward to enjoying more time in warmer climates.

The Rodney Stoke Inn was sold off a guide price of £1m.
