Cartwrights Pharmacy in Essex sold to ambitious first-time buyers

Cartwrights Pharmacy is a standard-hours, community pharmacy which dispenses an average of 625 items per month. The business is located in Benfleet, Essex, and enjoys a central position in the town, opening out onto the main A13 Southend to London road.

The business was previously owned by Mr Raymond Law who, after over 20 years of ownership, decided to sell to pursue a well-earned retirement.

The pharmacy has been purchased by Hadleigh Healthcare Limited, a group of ambitious first-time buyers from Essex who plan to rebrand the business as Hadleigh Pharmacy.

Having minimal rent and low staff costs has resulted in a very efficient, cost-effective business model, and gives Cartwrights’ new buyers a solid foundation to build upon. The main road location of the pharmacy means that the modest investment will receive maximum exposure from the passing footfall and traffic.
