Chatham’s Chocafellas comes to the market through Christie & Co
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has brought to the market Chocafellas in the Kent town of Chatham.
Situated in a prominent high street location, Chocafellas operates as a café, diner, restaurant, deli takeaway and desert parlour. The diner/main restaurant is located to the left of the property and provides ample booth seating for up to 80 covers, while a separate deli/takeaway shop is situated to the right of the property. The kitchen is of a good size and fully fitted with high specification equipment and separate wash up area. There is also space for an additional 10 covers outside to the front of the main store, as well as four staff parking spaces to the rear.
Ideally situated on Chatham’s main high street, Chocafellas has built up a strong reputation locally and benefits from a high level of passing trade. The business currently offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, presenting customers with a wide range of choices from waffles, crepes and ice cream to pizzas, hot dogs and fries. The site provides a unique opportunity for a new operator due to its composition of two separate units, to maintain the current offering or convert the smaller unit into a new style of business.
Chocafellas has been operated by Bill & Dharem Singh for the past three years, who now wish to retire from the sector and focus on their other business interests. They comment, “Since expanding our menu, we have had a wider clientele and there is room for further improvement for an incoming buyer.”
James Hughes, Senior Business Agent at Christie & Co, is handling the sale and comments, “Chocafellas is a successfully run business in a great location that enjoys a good footfall. Due to the recent high quality fit out, a new operator could take over the business and continue trading immediately or offer an alternative concept to the town.”
Christie & Co is seeking an asking price of £140,000 for the leasehold interest of Chocafellas.
