Children's day nursery in Wiltshire sold
Specialist property adviser, Christie & Co is delighted to announce the sale of Snapdragons Nursery in Melksham, Wiltshire.
Snapdragons Nurseries Ltd, owned by Rosemary & Paul Collard, is a successful, rapidly growing regional group with properties located within Wiltshire, Bath & Bristol. Snapdragons (Melkham) was one of the group’s first and smallest settings which prompted the sale to allow the company to focus on their remaining portfolio of eight larger nurseries within the region.
The 31-place day nursery has been sold to MC & SH Cawley Ltd, which currently runs an existing day nursery and a number of after-school clubs in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The addition of this freehold nursery will complement Mr & Mrs Cawley’s existing 52-place setting, the New Road Nursery which is situated within a twenty minute drive from Snapdragons.
Corrina Jones, specialist childcare business agent at Christie & Co comments: “Due to our local knowledge and close relationships with the high number of registered buyers we have in the region, we were able to introduce the opportunity to Mr & Mrs Cawley personally therefore enabling us to quickly facilitate an offer and manage the sale in a highly confidential and discreet manner. We would like to wish Mr & Mrs Cawley all the very best with their new venture.”
Commenting on the purchase of Snapdragons (Melksham) which will be rebranded under new ownership, Mr Cawley said: "We are delighted to add this site to our existing portfolio, giving us the perfect opportunity to expand whilst continuing to provide high quality childcare to our existing customers. We have an excellent reputation within the locality; our current nursery in Chippenham holds an ‘Outstanding’ from Ofsted and we are excited to be able to extend our offering to more families in the area."
