Christie & Co bring seaside ‘Cruscoe Hotel’ to market
On the instructions of the joint administrators, Paul Dounis and Gareth Harris, specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co have brought to market the Crusoe Hotel in Lower Largo.
The hotel has ceased trading and is offered for sale with all fixtures and fittings included. The property enjoys a unique trading position overlooking the small fishing harbour within the village of Lower Lago in the East Neuk of Fife, with views over the Forth of Firth south towards East Lothian.
The area is popular with golfers, with numerous championship grade courses within the county. Lower Largo is only 13 miles south of St Andrews, with other golf courses including Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, Leven and the newly opened Dumbarnie Links.
The hotel includes lounge and public bars, a first-floor restaurant and 16 en-suite letting rooms including two suites. A car park is provided to the front of the hotel with space available for 18 cars. We understand the title does include the pier however there is scope for development of this area to provide an external seating area or similar, to take advantage of the coastal views.
Stuart Drysdale, Director at Christie & Co is handling the sale and states, “The Crusoe Hotel is a long-established small hotel which enjoys a prominent position in the village with extensive coast and sea views. Significant interest has been registered already and expect this to continue. We aim to be setting a closing date for offers in mid-late October.”
