Christie & Co complete on sale of community store & post office

Dave and Lynn made the decision to bring the property to market through Christie & Co’s retail team in order to retire from the sector.

We have enjoyed our nine years of ownership of the business that we have used ourselves for the last 30 years, and would like to thank our staff and customers for supporting us during this time, as we begin our semi-retirement. The store has been purchased by Balwant Singh and his partner, Bikramjit Kaur. They plan to introduce different product ranges and extend the store’s opening hours to drive increased footfall and turnover.
Balwant comments, “We are very happy that we will be taking over the Christchurch Road store, despite such volatile times. We are very appreciative for the people at Christie and Co, especially Jamie, for helping us purchase this business and we hope the previous vendors have a happy retirement. We wish to carry on maintaining a high level of service and to fit into the heart of the community. We hope the locals will welcome us and our existing staff with open arms.
