Situated on a prominent main road position within a busy residential setting, the long-standing community convenience store presented as an extremely rare opportunity. With no immediate competition in the nearby vicinity, the store is heavily relied upon by the local community, giving it a strong trading position.

In addition, above the store is a two-bedroom apartment with a separate entrance, which is currently rented for £600pcm, making it a highly appealing asset for prospective buyers.

The previous owner, Premvati Rabadia made the decision to sell in order to focus on his other business interests.

The store has been purchased by Mr Sunil Varsani who comments, “I’m very excited to take on Abram Village Store and would like to thank Christie & Co for helping us to secure the business. We look forward to becoming part of the Wigan community and we’re going to be looking at ways to ensure we’re best serving local residents over the next few months.”

Ashley Cobban, Retail Business Agent at Christie & Co handled the sale comments, “We are delighted to have found a great buyer for our client. Convenience retail is an essential service, which has recently been highlighted by the global pandemic and therefore we are seeing a significant increase in demand for these types of businesses.”

Premier Abram Convenience Store was sold off a guide price of £319,950 for the freehold interest.
