Christie & Co expands its team in Spain with Beatriz Menéndez-Valdés
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co grows its team with the appointment of Beatriz Menéndez-Valdés as Head of Consultancy for Spain and Portugal.
The appointment of Beatriz, who will be located in the Christie & Co Madrid office, reinforces the Hotel Consultancy division, which has been very active in recent months conducting a large number of projects, such as multiple market and feasibility studies for investors and operators in different Spanish, Portuguese and Italian cities; various commercial due diligence of debt portfolios with hotel collateral; as well as expert witness reports for different assets for both national and international clients.
Beatriz holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and has an extensive experience in consultancy and financial and strategic advice within the real estate and hotel sectors. Prior to joining Christie & Co, Beatriz was part of Price Waterhouse Coopers, Atlas Capital and Accor Hotels, and later worked as Associate Director in the Hotels & Resorts Division at IREA, where she led strategic advisory and consultancy projects, hotel asset transactions, contract negotiations for hotel management, and financing for tourist developments projects. More recently, Beatriz has directed the Investment Division at Engel & Völkers Commercial, advising on the purchase and sale of real estate assets for real estate funds.
Beatriz joins the existing team formed by Guillemette Briard (Senior Consultant), Pol Fabregat (Consultant), Ariadna Planella (Consultant) and Joan Bagó (Market Analyst), and her appointment is expected to be a new drive for the department, which now has five members.
