Christie & Co find new owner for Kent pub group
Three country pubs operated by independent pub group, Ramblinns have been sold in a deal brokered by specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co. The disposal includes The Five Bells, The Woolpack and The Radnor Arms.
Ramblinns pub group have built up a business of four country inns, choosing locations which have unique characteristics all within a rambling distance of each other, such as being nestled into the edge of the beautiful Romney Marshes or not far from the sea. They all offer food, drink, live music and a multitude of events such as vintage motor clubs, art classes and bird watching walks.
The Five Bells, Brabourne is a beautiful inn dating back to the 16th Century, set on a hillside at the foot of the breathtaking North Downs. Twice voted Kent Life Pub of the Year and winner of Kent Pub of the Year at the 2019 National Pub & Bar Awards, it offers four gorgeously decorated suites. The inn has become a popular wedding venue and offers a dedicated events manager to assist couples planning their special day.
The Woolpack is also housed within a beautiful 16th Century building and sits in the village of Warehorne, Ashford. The inn also offers wedding options and comprises five beautifully decorated, en suite bedrooms filled with character for guests to stay in.
The Radnor Arms in Old Bouverie, Folkestone offers an attractively decorated private dining floor, named ‘The Hobbyist’ which accommodates 40-50 guests and is a perfect location for events and special occasions.
Ramblinns has been under the ownership of John and Alison Rogers since 2010. They are now looking forward to concentrating on their one remaining pub, the Globe Inn Marsh on the outskirts of Rye, which focusses on a food and drink offering.
The Radnor Arms, The Woolpack Inn and The Five Bells Inn have been sold to Josh De Haan who plans to build on the pubs existing excellent reputation.
