Located in the centre of Looe and overlooking the Looe River, the Rivercroft Hotel is set in the former home of a ship captain, believed to have been constructed in the 1890’s. The hotel features 10 guest rooms, four self-contained apartments, three bedroom owners house, a bar and restaurant. The business ceased trading in 2022 when it was sold to new owners and has remained closed.

Commonwood Manor is well positioned in East Looe and boasts views of the Looe Valley. Built by an Italian/French merchant and musician in the 1890’s as a Victorian family home, the hotel takes its design inspiration from Italian villas of the time, with large windows and doors to maximise the views over the valley. The hotel features 10 en suite bedrooms, an owners apartment, pentiful public space and large garden. Prior to closing in 2022, the business was run as a popular bed & breakfast hotel. The property is in need of refurbishment works throughout.

The third asset presents a unique leisure development opportunity. Hall Wood Forest is a circa 56-acre freehold woodland situated in rural Cornwall, only four miles from the popular resort town of Looe. The woodland has the benefit of planning consent for a bespoke 25 holiday lodge scheme, which could be amended (subject to the necessary consents) to provide a variety of alternative lodge park schemes.

Stephen Champion, Director of South West Hotels at Christie & Co comments, “The two hotels both have stunning views of the River Looe and present a fantastic opportunity for a new owner to refurbish and open their own hospitality business, or conversely they may suit alternative use subject to planning consent.”

Jamie Keith, Director of UK Holiday and Residential Parks comments, “Hall Wood’s planning consent offers a new owner the opportunity to develop a unique leisure business in a stunning party of Cornwall, either using the existing planning consent in place or with some variation.

“All three properties have generated significant interest even before launching to the market and viewing days are filling up fast, so we recommend booking in soon to avoid disappointment.”
