Christie & Co named 'most active' Leisure and Hotel agent in Scotland

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has been recognised as the most active agent in Scotland in the Leisure and Hotels category of the ‘2019 Estates Gazette EGi Deals Competition’ for the third year running. Ranked the top sector agent in four regions overall, Christie & Co was also named the best performing in the North West, South West and North East (Yorkshire) for Leisure and Hotels.

The EGi breakdown of 2019 deal activity highlights that Christie & Co continues to dominate the Hotel & Leisure market across the UK, providing expert and market-leading advice to hotel owners for over 80 years.

Stuart Drysdale, Director of Hotels & Hospitality for the Scottish Christie & Co team comments, “Winning the most active agent in the Leisure and Hotel sector for the third year running demonstrates the success and coverage the team has across Scotland. We have instructions from Orkney down to the Scottish Borders and can provide expert advice quickly anywhere in the country. In 2019, we saw an abundance of standout deals and 2020 has started off in a similarly positive fashion. We hope to continue our high levels of activity throughout the year.”

Key transactions undertaken by the Scotland-based team at Christie & Co in 2019 included concluding on the sale of the Ramnee Hotel in Forres, an Edwardian Villa sold off an asking price of £850,000 to a private individual operator and the sale of Glencoe House, an impressive 5-star luxury detached accommodation, sold for an undisclosed price in an off-market transaction to Perle Hotels, the second hotel Christie & Co has sold to the group.
