Closed Suffolk care home to be given new lease of life
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of the closed Beech Lawn Care Home in Suffolk to South Coast Care Homes which plans to refurbish and rebrand the site.
The former Beech Lawn Care Home comprises a total of 32 en suite bedrooms spread across the ground and first floor of a three-storey detached property with single storey extensions. The property sits in an exclusive, private residential area on the outskirts of Ipswich in Suffolk.
The business has been purchased by experienced operator, South Coast Care Homes, which owns three other homes; two in Eastbourne and one just a few miles away in Felixstowe. The company plans to refurbish the home and re-open it under the new name of Elton Park Care Home.
Robert Mellamphy, Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “This is a very attractive period property to which modern extensions have been added to provide a blend of original features and modern care facilities. I am sure that the new owners will be able to re-establish this to be a very much sought-after home.”
The former Beech Lawn Care Home was sold off an asking price of £1,300,000.
