Dress shop in Newcastle seeks new owner
Dressi, a dress shop in the popular suburb of Gosforth in Newcastle upon Tyne, has been brought to the market through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.
The shop carries ladies’ bridal, bridesmaid, prom and occasion dresses, along with shoes and handbags. Recently refurbished, the ground floor includes fixtures and fittings for hanging and displaying dresses and a sales counter. Ideally situated on the high street, Dressi benefits from strong levels of footfall and two car parking space to the front of the property. Currently trading from Tuesday to Saturday, a new owner could increase sales by extending the shop’s opening hours.
In addition to in store sales, Dressi has an established and professionally built ‘Shopify’ website, stocked with over 200 styles of dresses, and all stock, available both in the shop and off site, is listed on the website in order to maximise sales. The business maintains 15,000 followers across its social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, and is listed on a number of social media groups and websites. Dressi presents the opportunity for a new owner to boost sales by increasing the existing marketing budget and online presence.
Andrew Birnie, Director at Christie & Co is handling the sale and comments, “The business presents an excellent opportunity for a new owner to take on an extremely well established business or for an experienced operator in the fashion and bridalwear industry to integrate the store into their existing operation. Benefitting from a strong social media following and a mailing list with over 700 customers, the business is also set up for Google pay per click advertising and advertises on Facebook and Instagram. The strength of the website sales compared to the high street shop sales is a key aspect of this business, which will no doubt generate significant interest.”
The leasehold interest of Dressi has been brought to the market for £90,000, including stock.
