Elegant restaurant and bar opposite London landmark comes to market

Specialist property adviser, Christie & Co has brought to market the modern and elegant Bronte Restaurant and Bar. Occupying a prime site overlooking Trafalgar Square, one of London’s most visited landmarks, with over 15 million visitors a year, its location on the Strand puts it at the heart of London. It is also located close to Charing Cross Station, the National Gallery and Covent Garden.

The venue has a bar, brasserie and two dining rooms with seating for over 200 people plus outside seating overlooking the square. Designed by renowned restaurant designer Tom Dixon, the family owned Bronte has established itself as a great venue for food and drink throughout the day.

Bronte was named after Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson who stands on top of Nelsons Column at the centre of Trafalgar Square, who held the title of the 1st Duke of Bronte, which has its roots in Sicily and was bestowed on him for helping to suppress a revolution in Naples.

Simon Chaplin, Christie & Co’s Head of Restaurants comments, “Sites in such iconic locations rarely become available and to be able to bring to the market Bronte, with is stylish interior and established trade, is a real bonus. We expect interest to be generated from both UK and international operators looking to grab this prestigious restaurant in a location that is known around the world.”

Christie & Co is seeking premium offers in excess of £850,000 for the lease, goodwill, fixtures and fittings.
