Established village convenience store in South Wales sells
Specialist property business advisor, Christie & Co is pleased to report Bedlinog’s local Premier-branded convenience store, ‘Bedlinog Stores’ has been sold to an experienced operator, with the buyer utilising the Christie Group network to complete his purchase.
This family-run village store has been owned and operated by Gareth Roberts since 2004 and came to the market through Christie & Co’s retail team as they were looking to retire.
The buyer, Kandasamy Chandrarajan (Rajan), an experienced operator based in London who operates another store nearby Bedlinog, secured the funding for his purchase through Christie Finance and then proceeded to organise an insurance policy for his new business through Christie Insurance.

The previous owner, Gareth Roberts comments, “We've been fortunate enough to have served the community of Bedlinog for the past 18 years, where we were welcomed with open arms. We are reluctantly leaving with so many happy memories, not to mention so many new friends however, the time is right for a change in work-life balance.
