Established Wiltshire nursery sold to expanding national operator
Specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co is pleased to announce the recent sale of Barney Lodge Day Nursery, which is located in Warminster, Wiltshire.
The established nursery operates from an attractive detached building set within its own grounds and has been modernised to provide an ideal environment for the large numbers of children that attend this popular setting. The business boasts an excellent reputation for childcare and has an operating capacity for circa 70 children.
The previous owner, Lynn Ashton chose to run the business under management and made the decision to sell in order to retire from the industry and we wish her the very best. Lynn comments, “After almost 15 years of extending and building up Barney Lodge Nursery I would like to thank my team for their dedication and hard work. I am sad that this big part of my life has come to a close as the rewards of running Barney Lodge Nursery have been many folds. I hope the challenges in retirement will be equally rewarding. I wish Varun and Ashwin, and of course the Barney Lodge team all the very best for the future. I also would like to thank Nick Brown at Christie & Co and Georgina Bryant at Barcan Kirby solicitors for all their hard work and help with the transaction.”
The nursery has been acquired by growing national childcare operator, Storal Learning, expanding their portfolio to 15 childcare settings located across the country.
Varun Chanrai of Storal Learning comments, “Barney Lodge is a fantastic nursery with a wonderful team, providing outstanding childcare. It is already proving to be a great addition to the Storal family. Thanks very much to Nick Brown for helping steer this transaction. We wish Lynn all the very best in her future endeavours.”
Nick Brown, Regional Director and Head of Childcare Brokerage at Christie & Co handled the sale and comments, “The sale of Barney Lodge Day Nursery and a number of similar transactions completed during January showcase the strong ongoing demand across the country for high quality single asset sites.
“If you would like to discuss your exit strategy or perhaps you are looking to expand and want to be added to our nationwide database of active buyers then we would be delighted to hear from you.”
