Located within the city’s busy Eastgate – a popular location for shoppers and diners, Elizabeth’s Restaurant offers French cuisine from its 16th Century Tudor structure.  Current owners, Manuel & Cristina Mouzo opened the restaurant 27 years ago and have run the establishment with their son and a small team of staff.  After moving here from Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain, Manuel worked in and managed several top restaurants in Surrey & Hampshire before deciding to relocate to Kent.

Features including the restored beams, exposed brickwork and classic vintage design pieces within the building create an elegant and comfortable space to enjoy the delicious food on offer.  The restaurant has a fantastic reputation due to the ambience and cuisine on offer and is ranked highly on TripAdvisor and Google.

Rochester is a city steeped in history which attracts many tourists each year.  Visitors come to see its iconic castle, cathedral and landmarks connected to Charles Dickens in particular.  Elizabeth’s Restaurant is situated in the heart of the town, just a few minutes' walk from Rochester cathedral and Rochester castle.

James Hughes, Senior Business Agent at Christie & Co, is handling the sale and comments, “Rochester is a great location for a restaurant due to its history and tourism, as well the abundance of housing developments going on in the local area. I expect to see significant interest in the business.”

Elizabeth’s Restaurant is on the market at an asking price of £75,000 for the leasehold interest.
