Family owned Hertfordshire pub sold following 100 years of ownership

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has completed on the sale of The Green Dragon in the picturesque Hertfordshire village of Flaunden, situated between Berkhamstead, Little Chalfont and Hemel Hempstead.

Ideally positioned in the heart of the village, the popular Grade II listed pub dates back to the 17th century and maintains many original features throughout. The pub comprises a large open plan bar area for 30 to 40 guests, dining area with capacity for 30 guests and trade garden, popular with guests in the warmer months. Additionally, the property benefits from a large car park and five bedroom owner’s accommodation. 



Rupert Nickell, whose family owned and operated the pub for the past 100 years, comments, “The Green Dragon is a special property to our family and although hard to pass on, we feel that the new owner will do a fantastic job of refurbishing the property and once again making it a hub for the community.”
