Day Nursery in South Wales village of Llanbradach sold
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Footsteps Day Nursery in the Welsh town of Llanbradach.
Footsteps Day Nursery has an effective operating capacity to care for 47 babies and children aged six weeks to 11 years old. The business occupies a former police station from 1907 which has been sympathetically restored and converted to include two floors of nursery accommodation and a significant outdoor play area. It sits on the corner of Station Road and the High Street in the growing South Wales town of Llanbradach, which is a few minutes’ drive from Caerphilly and a short train ride from Cardiff.
The business was previously owned by Mrs Jackie Sebury and Mr Wayne Sebury, who decided to sell in order to enjoy some well-earned retirement.
Footsteps Day Nursery has been purchased by first-time buyer, Lucy Rowles, who comments, “I am delighted to become the new owner of Footsteps Day Nursery and to be able to fulfil my dream of owning a nursery. After 21 years of teaching in a primary school, it was time to take a slightly different direction in life and purchasing Footsteps Day Nursery proved the ideal opportunity for this new adventure. I am looking forward to working together with the fantastic staff at Footsteps to continue to build on the nursery’s successes and ensure we continue to provide outstanding quality childcare to the local community and beyond.”
Jassi Sunner, Associate Director – Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “Footsteps Day Nursery is a busy but quaint nursery in a unique building in the heart of the town. With a prominent position next to the train station, the nursery is a great drop-off point for parents travelling to work in nearby larger cities. Jackie and Wayne have built up a fantastic reputation and foundation for Lucy to develop further as she embarks on her first steps into day nursery ownership, and we wish all parties the best of luck and success for the future.
“Following our sale of Monmouth House Day Nursery last year, it’s encouraging to see the continued strength of the South Wales nursery market. Whenever a new day nursery comes to market in the region, there is always a great range of interest.”
Footsteps Day Nursery was sold for an undisclosed price.
