The Cross Keys is positioned in a prominent location within the town centre of Skipton, a charming market town that is considered the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. It receives a high volume of visitors due to its rich history and famous monuments including a 900-year-old castle, romantic ruined priory and historic cobbled high street.

The property, which is spread over 0.65-acres and features a restaurant and accommodation rooms. It was purchased by local business operator, Robert Watson who operates Peter Watson Car Garage, another local business opposite the site.

The site also benefits from two car parks located at the front and rear with space for 45 cars, giving it many significant opportunities for alternative developments. Robert plans to use the site for further car storage and office space development initially.

Sam Ashton, Business Agent at Christie & Co handled the sale and comments, “I was confident the property would generate high interest in such an affluent town of North Yorkshire. Sitting on a generous site size, the property has the potential for many uses, and it proved to attract good interest from prospective purchasers in a short space of marketing time. I wish Robert all the best with the property and site.”
