The Flying Dog, a ‘wee gem’ of a place located close to Edinburgh’s fashionable Shore district, is for sale with specialist property adviser Christie + Co.

The property, which has recently been fitted out to superb standard, oozes rustic charm with American music memorabilia adorning the exposed red brick walls. The area’s history as a key industrial hub is characterised by old whiskey barrels and former oil drums fitted with cushions being used as tables and stools, creating a relaxed yet an ultra-modern ‘industrial chic' vibe.

A popular hangout throughout the day, the carefully crafted menu enjoys an excellent reputation in Edinburgh for its great quality gourmet hot dogs, made in house handmade sirloin of beef burgers, fair-trade coffees and wide selection of fine wines from around the globe.

Jamie Jackson of Christie + Co’s Edinburgh Licensed Team who is handling the sale comments: “If there was ever an opportunity to purchase an excellent quality asset with a business that has superb development potential then this is it. The Flying Dog opened its doors to the public in 2013 following an extensive £80,000 refit. While the business has developed a solid customer base, the current own does not have the time to develop the business further and has decided that now is the time to sell.”

“Freehold businesses in this sought after part of Edinburgh rarely come on the market so we are confident that The Flying Dog will attract competitive interest from investors and owner-operators alike.”

Christie + Co is seeking offers of £275,000 for the freehold interest in The Flying Dog.
