Mansons Group buys latest independent pharmacy in north London
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Greenacre Pharmacy, an independent pharmacy in Cockfosters, north London.
Previously owned by Mr Nalin Shah and family, the business was brought to market to allow him to pursue a well-earned retirement. Following an open sales process, it has been sold to small pharmacy group, Mansons Group, which also owns Simmons Pharmacy, just across the road from Greenacre.
Nalin Shah comments, “We acquired the pharmacy in 1982 and have since developed the business into a friendly neighbourhood pharmacy serving several generations who we came to know personally. We have had the pharmacy for 40 years and it seemed right to now pass it on for onward continuing success. We are sure that, in the hands of Mansons Group, the business will flourish and will continue to be an integral part of the community it serves.”
Jack Chard, Associate Director – Pharmacy at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “A pleasure to work on this deal between neighbouring pharmacies. Undoubtedly a smart move from both the seller and buyer, who both made the deal incredibly stress free through their open lines of communication.”
Greenacre Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
