Hampshire care home group sold to Hervines Specialist Adult Care Group

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has completed on the sale of Hampshire-based Omega Elifar Ltd to new specialist care home operator, Hervines Specialist Adult Care Group.

Omega Elifar Ltd comprises four learning disability homes with a total of 25 registrations, one elderly care home with eight registrations, and 10 independent living suites. The properties are located close to each other in Bordon, Whitehill, Lindford and Rake in Hampshire.

A confidential marketing campaign was undertaken with multiple offers received during the process, from existing local and national operators as well as new entrants to the sector. Due to the homes all being close to each other and with good managers and staff, this was an ideal purchase for someone either looking to add to their current portfolio or as a platform to enter the sector.

The homes were previously owned by property development and investment company, Omega (After Alpha) Limited. Speaking on behalf of the company, Managing Director, Mike Greenwood, comments, “We are very pleased to have concluded a sale to Hervines Specialist Adult Care Group and wish them all the best with their future plans. It was a tough decision to sell the business which we have owned and operated for many years, but it was felt that it was the right thing to do to secure the long-term future of the business and ensure the continued high levels of care being provided.”

Omega Elifar Ltd has been purchased by Hervines Specialist Adult Care Group. Speaking on behalf of the company, Partner, Karim Karmali, comments, “This is our first purchase in this specialist sector, and we are delighted to have acquired Omega Elifar Ltd which is so well known in the local area. The management team of our company are experienced in the care sector, and we look forward to working with our new colleagues to improve the lives of our residents and building on the company’s already good standing.”

Charles Phillips, Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, adds, “We were very pleased with the level of interest received following our confidential marketing process of Omega Elifar Ltd. The Learning Disability sector was not hit quite so hard during the COVID-19 pandemic, and this has fuelled demand for these homes from many different buyers. We look forward to keeping in contact with the buyer and assisting them with any future growth plans.”

Omega Elifar Ltd was sold at an undisclosed price.
