Harrogate's iconic craft beer bar on the market with Christie & Co

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has been instructed to sell one of Harrogate’s award-winning craft beer bars, Ten Devonshire Place, situated less than one mile from the town centre.

Previously known as the Devonshire Arms, the 19th century property is a former coaching inn and underwent its name change following a restoration project in 2014. Still retaining its original double bay Georgian frontage, the pub comprises a fully fitted central bar area with customer seating, a private dining or function space on the first floor, a fully equipped commercial kitchen area and storage facilities. The property also includes space on the second floor which is currently used as an office and for storage.

Situated on a busy main road, the venue benefits from high footfall and predominantly operates as a wet led pub, offering a range of beers and wines, and a street food menu, plus a variety of live music events and regular DJ sets. With a strong and established local reputation in a desirable location, the well presented pub enjoys consistent local and passing trade.

Sam Ashton, Business Agent at Christie & Co who is handling the sale comments, “With three floors of trading space Ten Devonshire Place perfectly complements the surrounding independent hostelries. With its main road location less than one mile from the affluent spa town of Harrogate, a new owner has the potential to grow the catering side of the business alongside the current predominantly wet-led pub. This would also present a fantastic opportunity for an investor to come in and agree new terms with the current operators on a new lease.”

Christie & Co is seeking an asking price of £625,000.
