Harrogate's Salsa Posada to be sold after 25 years
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has been instructed to sell Salsa Posada which is located in the ever-popular spa town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire.
Located just half a mile from the railway station and close to the International Conference Centre, the restaurant has been serving up authentic Mexican food for the past 25 years under the ownership of prolific Harrogate restaurateurs The Damn Yankee Co, which has recently opened NJ’s on Station Parade accompanying the expansion of the Gambaru gym.
The ground floor restaurant can accommodate 60 covers and also houses a bar area, from where a variety of drinks and cocktails are served. The site contains a fully fitted commercial kitchen, storage rooms, staff changing rooms and office space.
The restaurant is offered to the market ready to run with low wage and rental costs, and is in a prime and vibrant location, ideal for both first time and experienced operators.
Mick and Nicola Triffitt, who are the current operators, comment: "We have really enjoyed running Salsa Posada for the last 14 years as it has a great following amongst locals who we've got to know over the years and is a popular place on the restaurant scene of Harrogate. Generations of customers have been coming since it opened 29 years ago so it has a lot of history. We now feel it's time to sell so we can focus more on our new and other existing businesses."
Oliver Brown, who is handling the sale from Christie & Co’s Leeds office comments, “Demand for businesses in Harrogate is significant, and this property has come to market with a great backbone of solid trade and a very reasonable rent for the size and location. With location playing a key role in leasehold asking prices, Salsa Posada presents very good value within a context of rising prices and limited opportunity.”
