Havelock House Nursing Home in East Sussex sold through Christie & Co
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Havelock House Nursing Home in East Sussex.
Havelock House Nursing Home operates from a building which originally began as two detached bay fronted properties, but its previous owners invested significantly in the site, interlinking and extending the two properties and adding a new shaft lift, replacement double glazed windows, new bathrooms, redecoration, and new carpeting.
The home is located in the East Sussex town of Polegate, near Eastbourne, which benefits from having a higher-than-average population at retirement age.
Previously owned by Mr Bhardwaj and Mrs Tarramattee Dhunnoo for 20 years, the home was brought to market to allow the pair to pursue a well-earned retirement. It has been purchased by Mr Gulam Dadabhoy, whose portfolio now consists of three care homes, all purchased through Christie & Co.
John Harrison, Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “We are delighted to have assisted Mr and Mrs Dhunnoo with their retirement plans and to be able to use our knowledge of the local care market to secure a purchaser in Mr Dadabhoy who has bought all three of his care homes through us. We are sure he will make a great success of Havelock House as he has done with the other homes.”
Havelock House Nursing Home was sold at an undisclosed price.
