The15-bed, Grade-II listed hotel closed recently, but now the new buyers are looking to breathe new life into the business, which has been a fixture in the town for a number of years.

The attractive hotel, which features its own restaurant, alongside a lounge and bar is situated in a prominent town centre position on Salutation Square and was brought to the market as the previous owner Bill McBride took the decision to retire after running the business since1994.

A sale was agreed to experienced operators Peter Welling & Yvonne Mulvhill, who are hoping to refresh the business and expand on the existing facilities.

John Coggins, Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Cardiff office handled the sale said, “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to achieve a sale on the County Hotel and I’m confident that Peter & Yvonne will breathe new life into the property and make a success of the venture.

“Due to the prominent position of the County Hotel, we saw a numbers of bids being tabled for the property and the business, which is a testament to the popularity of this kind of lifestyle business in Pembrokeshire.”
