Historic Dumbarton hotel comes to the market for the first time

Specialist property adviser Christie + Co has been appointed to sell The Milton Inn, a traditional family-run hotel near Dunbarton Castle in Scotland.
Dating back to the 5th century, the period building lies on the main route to Loch Lomond and the Highlands. Rated 3-Star by the Scottish Tourist board, the hotel offers authentic Scottish highland hospitality in its 22 en-suite letting rooms, bar and restaurant arranged across three properties.
Having operated the business for the past 28 years, it is due to retirement that the owners have appointed the Glasgow office of Christie + Co to place the property on the market.
Brian Sheldon, Regional Director at Christie + Co is handling the sale. He says: “Under our clients’ ownership, the property has undergone a complete overhaul from the once small and uninspired licensed premises into the successful hotel it is today.”

Christie + Co is seeking offers in the region of £675,000 for the freehold interest in The Milton Inn.
