Charity-owned Worcestershire care home sold to Pine Care Group Ltd

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Housman Court Care Home in Worcestershire.

Housman Court care home in Worcestershire

Established in 1987, Housman Court is a purpose-built residential/dementia care home registered for 30 residents. The home, which was CQC rated 'Good' in January 2019, is set in enclosed landscaped gardens in the centre of Housman Park - a complex of 57 assisted housing units - in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.

Housman Court was previously owned by a UK charity and was brought to market as it felt that the home needed a local operator to continue to drive the business forward.

Following a confidential marketing process, it has been purchased by Pine Care Group Ltd, an established local care provider which owns two other nursing homes in the West Midlands. Pine Care Group Ltd has plans to invest further in the property.

Tamara Gee, Associate Director – Healthcare at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “We generated a significant amount of interest, with multiple offers received which ended up going to best and final bids. We wish the new owners all the best in this new venture.

“We continue to see strong interest in these types of homes, especially given there is still a shortage of new care homes coming to the market.”

Housman Court Care Home was sold for an undisclosed price.
