Specialist retail property adviser Christie + Co has been instructed to sell a group of four independent convenience stores on behalf of LF Jones Holdings Ltd.

The Somerset based convenience store operator and wholesaler has decided to sell three leaseholds and one freehold store as part of a strategy to focus on its growing wholesale business and re-invest in its remaining convenience store portfolio.

David Morris of Christie + Co’s specialist Retail team in Bristol has been instructed to market the stores at Britton, Radstock, Coleford and Shepton Mallet. He says: “We are delighted to be acting for the Jones family as they look to further develop their business.”

Martin Jones, Chairman of LF Jones Holdings Ltd comments:  “This is an excellent opportunity to acquire one or more convenience stores that have been well-operated but still have scope for further growth.”

The LF Jones business was established by the Jones family in 1911 from a small tuck shop and cafe in the village of Stratton-on-the-Fosse that lies approximately two miles south of their existing head office. The business is still operated in large by members of the Jones family.
