Italian restaurant in Battersea brought to the market
Melanzana, a well established Italian restaurant and bar in Battersea, South West London, has been brought to the market through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.
Occupying a prominent corner position overlooking Battersea Square, the main trading space provides a relaxed feel with stripped wooden floors and furniture, comprising traditional table and chair seating for 56 guests. The site also features a bar, deli server, catering kitchen and good sized storage areas.
Surrounded by affluent residential streets and housing developments and situated in an area which enjoys a wealth of licenced premises, including Gordon Ramsay’s London House, Queenswood, Mazar and Gail’s Bakery, Melanzana benefits from strong levels of passing trade and repeat custom.
Previously known as the Raven, the site has been trading as Melanzana since 2009. The current owners have decided to sell the business in order to focus on other investments.
Stewart Harkness, Associate Director at Christie & Co is handling the sale and comments, “Melanzana presents a fantastic opportunity to obtain an established restaurant in a very prominent location. Benefitting from the excellent rental level for this area, the site has huge potential to change the current offering with little capital outlay and the premises licence would also allow a new owner to increase trading hours. As such, we anticipate the site will generate significant interest from a number of buyers.”
Christie & Co is seeking an asking price of £175,000 for the leasehold interest of Melanzana.
