J S Mini Market in Sheffield sold to first-time buyer
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, is delighted to announce that J S Mini Market in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, has been sold to first-time buyer, Mr Karavadara.
J S Mini Market is a convenience store and off licence with minimal local competition. The store sits on a corner plot on a main road within a residential area, and benefits greatly from a healthy footfall from the surrounding houses, factories, schools, and other businesses.
The store is located in Beighton, an area within Sheffield, South Yorkshire, which is eight miles from Sheffield city centre, eight miles from Meadowhall Shopping Centre, and circa 4.5 miles away from the M1 motorway.
This sale offers its new buyer a great opportunity to expand on a well-established business through the introduction of an in-store bakery, coffee machine, promotional offers and other local services.
The store has been owned, for the last nine years, by Mr Jaswinder and Mrs Surjit Singh, who live in Leeds and also own a fish and chip shop. They have decided to sell to focus on their other business. Mr Singh comments, “Thanks to Manish and James, my store is now sold. I used Christie & Co due to Manish’s retail background and his overall energy when he inspected my store, he knew it would sell. We worked together to get the deal done and to see it through to the end. Great service and a job well done!”
J S Mini Market has been purchased by experienced retailer and first-time buyer, Mr Bharat Karavadara, who is relocating from Leicester. Mr Karavadara plans to change the store’s symbol group, re merchandise, expand the store’s services and work closely with the community.
Manish Jadav, Retail Business Agent at Christie & Co, who handled to sale, comments, “Yet again, another buyer relocating to Yorkshire. This store had plenty of potential when I inspected it and plenty of interest when it was marketed. The demand is huge for mid to high end C-Stores, leasehold and freehold at the moment. How long this will last, we can’t say, but if any store owners are thinking about selling, it would be great to have an initial discussion about the market and an exit strategy.”
J S Mini Market was sold off an asking price of £75,000.
