Leamington cafe seeking new leaseholders as Bread & Co moves on
Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced that it has been appointed to sell the lease of the Regent Street cafe outlet currently occupied by Leamington Spa favourite Bread & Co.
Located in the heart of the town’s well-established Regent Street restaurant quarter, the 35-cover artisan cafe has been operated by Stephen Burnett and Michele Forge since its inception in 2010. Stephen and Michele are now looking for a new operator to take over the lease on the Regent Street unit following their decision to concentrate on their growing commercial bakery operations in Warwick.
Joshua Sullivan, Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Birmingham office is handling the sale and comments, “This outlet is a Regent Street stalwart that is situated right at the heart of the Leamington Spa leisure and retail circuit.
“Over the time that Stephen and Michele have been operating the cafe, it has built up a loyal customer base thanks to its hand-crafted and local provenance food, great atmosphere and superb customer service. In recent years, Leamington has seen the demise of many cafes and other similar businesses, but this location has remained and built up an excellent reputation among the local community as the preferred alternative to corporate chains.
“This lease sale would provide an ideal opportunity for a local operator to establish a new business based on a high level of goodwill, in a prime town centre location that experiences strong footfall.”
The leasehold of the Regent Street unit is on the market with Christie & Co for £49,999.
