Milton Regis Dental Clinic in Kent sold to Simplybright

Milton Regis Dental Clinic is a three-surgery, mixed practice which offers great potential for a new owner to increase the number of surgeries on the site and to build on the clinic’s patient numbers.

The clinic is based in the industrial town of Sittingbourne in Kent which lies approximately 17 miles from Canterbury and 45 miles from London. The business sits on a main high street in the town alongside an array of other local businesses, such as pubs, a Post Office, and various retail outlets.

Milton Regis Dental Clinic was previously owned by Dr Maria Magaretha Carstens who decided to sell in order to pursue retirement. She met with Christie & Co at the London Dentistry Show in 2019 and, from there, the clinic was brought to market. Dr Carstens comments, “When one of my Associates informed me that he would like to retire, I decided it was the best time to sell the practice, as I am also no longer a young filly.

“I was looking for a new buyer who was dynamic and enthusiastic, who would be able to unlock the full potential of the practice, making use of its perfect location for expansion of services to the fast-growing population in the immediate surrounding areas. I am also totally devoted to my patients, and I wanted to ensure continuity of care for them post my own retirement.

“It was really difficult to choose a new owner, as all the potential buyers were good candidates but, in choosing the Simplybright group, I know the practice will be well managed with above-standard service provision, and that the business will most certainly thrive and grow.”

The business has been sold to regional dental group, Simplybright, which owns a further eight practices around the South of England. Speaking on behalf of the company, Director, Mr Mital Patel, comments, “The practice size and location was a perfect fit for our Group and, after meeting the vendor and seeing how it was run, we were confident that the practice would provide a perfect addition to our Group.”

The sale was agreed pre-lockdown and completed post-lockdown, reflecting the strength of the sector and the market.”

Milton Regis Dental Clinic was sold off an asking price of £1,000,000.
