Noah’s Ark Nursery in Newhaven, East Sussex, has changed hands in a deal brokered by specialist property adviser Christie + Co.

The newly refurbished nursery has an operating capacity for 45 children and boasts a growing annual fee income of circa £157,000.

Situated in a predominantly residential area, the nursery occupies a large site with a generous garden, woodland area and off-street parking.

The leasehold interest in the business has been sold off a £150,000 asking price to a first time entrant into the childcare sector who is planning to take a more hands-on approach in the running of the nursery.

John Harrison, Director at Christie + Co’s Maidstone office who handled the sale comments: “Utilising a direct and discrete marketing approach, we were able to facilitate the sale with very little disruption to the business and ensure smooth continuity between buyer and seller. We were also able to advise on a solicitor experienced in the sale of childcare settings which enabled the sale to complete in the shortest possible timeframe.”
