North Yorkshire village pub sold through Christie & Co

The Station Hotel in the picturesque North Yorkshire village of Picton near Yarm has been sold through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co. The traditional country pub sits in a strong trading location with a number of idyllic villages and towns close by.

The Station was previously run by husband and wife team, Robert and Caron Connors. It has now been sold to a first time buyer whose plans are to continue to run the pub and restaurant in the same way it already operates, whilst introducing a number of their own ideas.

In addition to the main bar area and dining room with a conservatory, there is a well presented three bedroom owner’s accommodation with its own private entrance and roof terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside.

David Cash, Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Newcastle office comments; “This sale is another great demonstration of the desirability of freehold pubs in North Yorkshire, an area that remains attractive to buyers. Another positive is that the deal was bank funded, demonstrating that there is appetite for lending on commercial licensed premises.”

The Station sold off an asking price of £235,000.
