Family-owned Taunton care home sold to expanding local operator
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced Northway House Nursing and Residential Home in Taunton, Somerset.
Northway House is a converted detached residential home registered to care for up to 29 residents. It occupies a convenient location in the Somerset town of Taunton which is well-served by road and rail.
The home, which has been owned by the same family since 2009, was brought to market to allow its owners to pursue other interests away from the sector.
Following a confidential sales process with Christie & Co, a sale was agreed to Pebblestones Limited whose owners have extensive care home experience and currently operate Casterbridge Manor in Cerne Abbas and Casterbridge Lodge in Winterbourne Steepleton.
Chetan Borkhatria, Operations Director of Pebblestones , comments, “I have been in the care sector for almost 23 years and have seen it evolve over this time. Northway House was a good opportunity to add to the Pebblestones Limited group and, going forward, we will be undertaking a complete refurb programme at the home to complement the existing homes within our group.”

Northway House Nursing and Residential Home was sold for an undisclosed price.
