Norwich city centre bar sold by Christie & Co
Specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co has successfully sold The Doghouse in the centre of Norwich, to Punch Pubs & Co.
The high-quality bar is ideally situated on the city's main licensed circuit and offers customers function space, as well as an outdoor patio area. After owning and operating the site for over ten years, the vendors approached Christie & Co to sell the business on their behalf in order to pursue other business interests.
The site has been purchased by Punch Pubs & Co, who already have a local operator lined up to take on the business and introduce a new food offering. The new owners will benefit from the venue’s ideal location close to the local university campus and the City’s main retail area, as well as the evening drinking circuit around St Andrews Street and Tombland.
Commenting on the sale, the vendor Andy Viner said, "I am pleased that the transaction has completed without a hitch through Christie & Co and wish the new owners and staff every success with their new venture.”
Anthony Jenkins, Associate Director at Christie & Co handled the sale and comments, "The fantastic location in the centre of Norwich led to strong levels of interest in the site from a number of operators. This acquisition is Punch's second site in Norwich city centre, and we have no doubt they will continue the businesses success."
The Doghouse was marketed as offers invited for the freehold interest.
