Peterborough pharmacy acquired by first time buyer
Businesses sold
Botolph Bridge Pharmacy in Peterborough has been sold by specialist property adviser Christie + Co after a highly competitive sales process.
The well-presented modern pharmacy has been sold to first time buyer Nilesh Popat for an undisclosed sum in excess of the original £1million asking price.
Nilesh will run the business together with his wife, who is the pharmacist.
The outgoing vendors are multiple operators and decided to sell the business in order to concentrate on their other businesses.
Mark Page of Christie + Co’s Ipswich office handled the sale. He comments: “We are delighted to have been able to successfully complete the sale of this successful and reputable business which has been serving the community of East Peterborough for over ten years. We wish our clients all the best with their future endeavours and good fortune to Nilesh and his wife with this superb acquisition.”
With sixteen offices in the UK, Christie + Co is the nation’s largest specialist firm of pharmacy agents, valuers and surveyors. Last year the company transacted £175m worth of medical businesses, and valued over 500 primary care businesses worth in excess of £366 million.
