Popular new forest inn looking for a new owner through Christie & Co

The Shoe Inn, a popular pub and restaurant with letting rooms in Plaitford near Romsey, has been brought to the market through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.

Well positioned on the busy A36 between Southampton and Salisbury, the Shoe Inn has been a resting place for travellers for hundreds of years.  Highly regarded for its warm welcome, high quality ‘quirky yet un-intimidating’ homemade food, the food-led pub also provides a wide range of beverages, from hand pulled ales to wine and spirits.
 
In addition to the pub and restaurant, the Shoe Inn features five letting rooms for guests visiting the popular area.
 
Current owners, Sarah Penny & Andy Nelson who have been running the pub for the last 2.5 years and took the decision to sell the Shoe Inn for a change in lifestyle.  They comment, “Having run the pub for the last two years we believe we have renovated to a high standard and it’s appreciated by all that visit. We are sorry to be leaving but believe we are handing over a superb business.”

The Shoe Inn is on the market at an asking price of £50,000 for the leasehold interest.
