Rainbow Bright Childcare in Dundee sold to experienced operators
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Rainbow Bright Childcare in Dundee.
Established in 2009, Rainbow Bright Nursery is registered with the Care Inspectorate to provide childcare for up to 60 children aged 0 to 12-years. The setting, which is located to the north of Dundee at the junction of Camperdown and MacAlpine Road, has an excellent reputation amongst its local community.
Having established the nursery over 12 years ago, the exiting owner, Ms Maggie Koervers, decided to sell to pursue a well-earned retirement.
The business has been sold to Mr Iqbal Ahmed and Miss Sadia Ahmed, an experienced nursery operator couple from Glasgow who own two other setting in Falkirk.
Ms Koerver comments, “Having opened and run the nursery for 12 years, I am glad that we found a young enthusiastic couple to take the business forward. I now look forward to my retirement.”
Rosie Adlem, Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “The deal faced challenges including COVID related closures and isolations on both sides, but the commitment from both parties and good levels of communication meant we were able to navigate to the completion successfully.
“The nursey market across Scotland continues to demonstrate a high degree of resilience as the number of buyers are still outnumbering the level of supply. Every opportunity introduced to the market is receiving a high degree of interest and, whilst staffing challenges remain a focal point, the general positivity within the sector is high.”
Rainbow Bright Childcare was sold for an undisclosed price.
